   About

VVOLVEN (Nathan Alexander Wolfe) is a queer composer, producer, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist. They often delve into the abstract, looking to showcase their unique point of view. Whether they create audio for linear or non-linear media, their outside of the box thinking is sure to shine through on any project. Inspired by artists such as Björk, Arca, ANOHNI, SOPHIE, ionnalee, Tim Hecker, and Oneohtrix Point Never, electronic music is at the core of all that they creates. Ambient and atmospheric textures are their home, but they are always ready to experiment. They uses their experience as a percussionist to guide their compositions. Their deep interest in Japanese music and instruments also influences their work.

DISCONTENT Cover Art

VVOLVEN's debut single, DISCONTENT, brings their anger and frustration to focus. Anxious and crippling sounds are inescapable.

ANOMALOUS Cover Art

VVOLVEN's debut EP, ANOMALOUS, explores their journey as a queer person. Each track focuses on different portions of their life: their innocent and naive childhood, questioning their sexuality and gender identity as a teen, hiding who they are as a teen, and being happy and comfortable with their current state of being in the present.

EMBOWER (Original Game Soundtrack) Cover Art

VVOLVEN was the composer and sound designer for the indie video game EMBOWER. The EMBOWER (Original Game Soundtrack) is heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda video game series.

Digging Deep (without logo).JPG

VVOLVEN's mixtape DIGGING DEEP tells the story of a theorized relationship. Made up of original instrumentals and covers of songs by women that inspire them, this project is an exploration of genres and production styles. This also marks the first time VVOLVEN has sung on their projects. DIGGING DEEP is dedicated to their lovers; past, present, and future.

VVOLVEN is the composer for the Boyfriend Twins podcast, hosted by Taha Arshad and Kevin McDonald.

VVOLVEN is currently working as the composer and sound designer on an upcoming short film, "MEDDLER."

VVOLVEN's latest projects are a film score and video game score, which were completed during their time studying at Berklee College of Music.
